The Sanderson Gazette - 2011-06-07 - The NFL Had A Lockout, and All I Got Was the First Overall Pick

Administrative Goodness

As we all are aware, the 2011 NFL season is currently in limbo. I remain confident a season will be played, but it might not be a full 17-week one. In that case, I'll make up a schedule as best I can.

That said, is everyone still in? If you can't or don't want to participate in the Blingaleague this year, please let me know as soon as possible. (Believe it or not, there is a waiting list for Blingaleague franchises in case anyone drops out.)

With regards to keepers, I don't want to start any declarations until we know what's happening with the NFL. Once we know what is going on, and free agents have started to be signed, I'll start the keeper emails.

Draft Lottery Results

Now, what everyone's been waiting for...

Mike, who had a 21.23% of winning the lottery (the second-best odds) has won the right to pick first! Matt jumps from fourth to second, while Pat, with a 28.34% chance of winning, falls to third. Kevin, Rob, and Dave round out the lottery.

The full draft order is:

  1. Mike

  2. Matt

  3. Pat

  4. Kevin

  5. Rob

  6. Dave

  7. Babel

  8. Pulley

  9. Allen

  10. Derrek

  11. Ed

  12. Rabbit

Closing Thoughts

Two congratulations are in order!

Doctor and doctor Allen and Erin Clark joined each other in the sanctity of marriage on April 30.

Mark and Jackie Babel welcomed Cecilia Grace Babel (6 lbs, 11 oz) into the world on May 21. Both mother and baby are doing well!

Happy lockout,

Eddo
